Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms apply to accommodation contracts at Madarao Lodges (the "Property"), operated by Madarao Estate Co., Ltd. ("we"), and to the use of this website. The Japanese version prevails in case of any discrepancy.

2. Contract

A booking is concluded when you complete the reservation process on this website and payment has been successfully processed.

3. Rates

Rates are as displayed at the time of booking, including consumption tax. Accommodation tax, where applicable, is shown separately.

We may adjust the price of a confirmed booking with your consent or at our discretion; any difference is settled by refund or additional charge.

4. Cancellation

Cancellations by guests are subject to the cancellation policy displayed at the time of booking. Refunds are made to the card used for payment.

5. Guest register

Under the Japanese Hotel Business Act, the name, address and contact details of all guests must be registered. Guests without a residential address in Japan must provide nationality and passport number and present their passport at check-in.

6. Prohibited conduct

Smoking indoors (outside designated areas), parties or events, exceeding maximum occupancy, nuisance to neighbours and any unlawful conduct are prohibited.

7. Damage

Guests are liable for damage to the Property caused intentionally or negligently.

8. Force majeure

Where accommodation cannot be provided due to natural disasters, transport disruption, epidemics or other causes beyond our control, our separate rules apply.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Japanese law. The court with jurisdiction over the Property's location has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.
